Social Programme

The 15th IAA Symposium on Small Satellites for Earth System Observation offers a valuable opportunity for scientists, engineers, and managers to exchange insights on current and future programs and missions. The symposium will feature discussions on innovative mission objectives, as well as technological, management and programmatic aspects related to small satellites for Earth and Moon observation.

We are pleased to offer an attractive social programme as a part of the IAA 15 Symposium.

One can be happy in many places. The main thing is that it's Berlin.

Rotisserie Weingrün is a special place in the historic center of Berlin. Located directly by the Gertraudenbrücke, under which the Spree flows leisurely, and only a few meters from the new City Palace. The core and heart of the Rotisserie is the open-flame grill, where Paderborn chickens, veal shanks, Finnish Flammlachs 'Lable Rouge', and roast lamb take turns.

And there’s another special feature: from 2005 to March 2021, we operated the Horcher Winery in Kallstadt, Rhineland-Palatinate. This was a tribute to the Berlin restaurant Horcher, a culinary gem from the 1920s. For 15 years, our cellar master Wolfgang Grün crafted wines that perfectly complemented our cuisine. We still have wonderful wines from the last five vintages in our cellar. The Horcher Winery is now called Weingut mkquadrat, and cellar master Wolfgang Grün is a guarantee for more great wines

Enjoy typical German-style dishes in a stylish dining room with an exposed-brick roof. The restaurant offers a delicious three-course dinner,
including a vegetarian option. Please specify your dietary preferences when purchasing your ticket.
The dinner price includes beverages for 4 h, including wine, craft beer, soft drinks, coffee and tea.

Please note:

The symposium dinner is a ticketed event, you must register and pay for the dinner in advance.
You will have the option to purchase a dinner ticket during the registration process.
The dinner ticket costs 110,00 €. All food and beverages are included in the price.
The symposium dinner will take place from 19:00-23:00 o’clock.
Registration will close on April 21, 2025.

The S+U-Bahn Station “Berlin Zoologischer Garten” is the closest S-Bahn station from venue Ludwig-Erhard-Haus (LEH),
approximately a 5-7 minute walk. The journey from Berlin Zoologischer Garten and Restaurant “Rotisserie-Weingrün” takes around 35 minutes.
